The word Kuumba, means to make or be creative in Kiswahili. The Kuumba Writers Union will be an organization for writers of color in Ohio to help cultivate our creative spirits through networking and engagement with other writers through meetings, conferences, and online communications, and to provide various types of resources (writing, publishing, business, legal) to assist in helping future authors realize their dream.
