Media Literacy 101
CNN Black In America, Facebook Viewing Party!
In my effort to advance my media literacy and citizen journalism for
ALL agenda...LOL...I want to bring us together for a Facebook wide
viewing party to support my girl Soledad O'Brien in her second
installment of the Black In America II Series on CNN.
On Wednesday, it airs at 9pm
On Thursday, it airs at 8pm (be sure to watch both)
So,
log onto Facebook and let's chat as the show is airing. President Obama
also has a press conference airing on July 22 at 8pm, also airing on
CNN, so just keep your TV on CNN all night (LOL).
Also, feel
free to post links to other related news stories/events (but only news
and/or commentary), on this event page, as we chat. If this is a
success, we will definitely do it again.
Be on the look out for
Dr. Steve Perry in Black In America, he started a school in Connecticut
to increase the graduation rate of African American high school
students. We met him at the NASAP Student Leadership Institute in
Maryland back in May.
